I'm new to gardening and trying out square foot gardening for the first time. I'm curious about the best way to plant marigolds in my raised beds. Should I put them around the border, or is it better to scatter them throughout the garden? Any advice from seasoned gardeners would be appreciated!

I've been in the same boat and decided to just fit them in wherever I can, without too much of a plan—kinda like my life! ? It’s all about making it work for you!
I like to plant marigolds around the border while leaving the space between the plants for basil. It seems to help keep things organized and looking nice in the garden!
I’m planning to mix marigolds and nasturtiums in my first raised bed! I think I’ll place the nasturtiums at the edge to let them spill over, since they can get a bit out of control, and I’ll stick the marigolds wherever there’s room. It's all about finding the right balance!

That sounds like a good plan! I love the idea of letting nasturtiums spill over the edge.
