I've been cold stratifying some seeds in the fridge, and I noticed that they're sprouting after just 2 weeks, even though I thought they would need a minimum of 4 weeks according to what I read online. My question is, should I go ahead and plant them now, or keep them in the fridge with the moist paper towel? Also, if any of the seeds don't sprout, how can I tell when they're ready to be planted? Thanks for your help!

If you're seeing sprouts, first check if they're roots or leaf stalks. If they have roots, it’s best to leave them be for now. But if they’re showing cotyledons (those are the first leaves), you can certainly move them to your seed blocks. Just make sure to keep them under a humidity dome and use good lighting to help them thrive!
Yes, when you're cold stratifying seeds, keeping them in a damp environment is key. You can use damp soil or even a paper towel. I personally prefer the towel method since it makes it easier to spot and plant the seeds when they're ready.
Exactly! Using a paper towel is a great way to keep an eye on them.

Why should I leave them if they have roots but plant them if they have leaves? Shouldn't rooting seeds be planted? Mine are showing 2 leaves with one long root.
