Hey everyone! I recently installed a 30kW battery system, and I'm wondering if I need to build a sun and wind shade for it. The area gets pretty intense heat during Sydney's summer, and we see a lot of rain in winter. What do you think?

I'm in West TX with a similar setup—30kW Enphase batteries on an exterior wall facing west. Our summers can be really harsh, so I built a shade structure using overlapping slats. It allows for airflow while blocking direct sunlight, and it really helps keep the batteries cooler. Plus, it protects against hail during storms! Definitely made a big difference here!
