I own a house from 1986 and I've recently remodeled the downstairs, but the upstairs bedrooms still have popcorn ceilings. I've been getting quotes around $2300+ to have them removed and painted, and I'm considering doing it myself, which might save some cash but comes with the risk of making a mess or ruining the walls and carpet. I'm torn between three options: 1) Do it myself and risk chaos, 2) Hire a pro and spend a lot more, or 3) Just leave them for now and deal with it later if I can afford it. What do you all think?
