I recently purchased a home that has heated floors, and I'm planning to renovate the tile throughout the house. The house was built in 1995 and has great materials, but I'm wondering if I should replace the 30-year-old pipes for the heated floors while I'm at it. If I do that, it might stretch my budget thin after the renovations. What do you think I should do?

Be super careful when replacing the tiles! It's really easy to accidentally damage the hydronic heating system underneath, and fixing it can be a real hassle. Make sure you know what you're doing when you start the project.
Before making a decision, do you know if your heated floors use water pipes or electric heating? It might be worth living with them a bit longer to see how they perform. If they were installed correctly, there's usually no need to replace them, as taking them out can be both disruptive and costly.
