Should I Replant My Baby Plants in a New Soil Mix?

I recently brought home some baby plants but used a store-bought soil mix since I ran out of my own. Unfortunately, I'm not thrilled with this mix because it's making the soil stay too damp, even after a couple of weeks. I've prepared my own soil mix and now I'm debating whether I should repot the plants or if that might lead to additional problems.

If the current soil is keeping your plants too damp, it’s a good idea to repot them. The stress from repotting is usually worth it compared to the long-term issues they might face in that soil. Just make sure to be gentle with the roots and give them a nice drink of water after repotting!

Okay perfect, that's what I was thinking, thank you! 🙂

Yeah, that soil is too wet for a couple of weeks to be normal. You should definitely consider getting your plants out of it. Just keep an eye on the lighting as well, since that can affect how well they dry out. If they're in a somewhat dark spot, that might be slowing things down.

Thanks for the tip! I'm in the UK, so I don't get great light right now, but they’re in the same spot as my other plants that are thriving. The soil is the only variable I can think of.
