I'm considering hiring a company to reseal my driveway, which is about 200 feet long and 11 feet wide, wider at the end for parking five cars. There are a few cracks that I need to fill too. The company is charging me $700 for the job. Is that a fair price, and how hard is it to do this myself?

Before deciding, make sure you really need resealing and check if the company is reputable. Some homeowners get scammed by companies that don't do a good job and then disappear. Just be cautious!
Did you check for other quotes? It's wise to compare. If most are similar, your price is fair for your area. I’ve helped my parents with DIY resealing; it was a messy and long task. Pros usually finish quickly. Not something I'd want to do yourself!
From what I've seen, resealing is best done with hot sealant rather than that stuff from Home Depot, which can be tricky to do yourself. It might not be easy if you're going the DIY route!
Gotcha, thanks! I trust this company has a good reputation. I'll confirm if they're using hot sealant.
I paid about $250 four years ago for a similar driveway, so your quote seems reasonable. It's easy to put off, but it's better to get it done. Just be aware, it's messy work if you decide DIY!
Thanks, sounds like a decent price then! I’d rather not spend money on this, but adulthood calls!

Thanks! I made sure to hire a reputable company; I just want to consider the price.
