Should I Seed My Lawn This Weekend Even With Cold Weather Coming?

I'm located in Surrey and I'm eager to get my lawn seeded ASAP so we can enjoy it this year. Next week looks pretty chilly with lows between 4-8 degrees and highs around 14. Should I go ahead and seed this weekend or wait for the colder weather to pass?

If you're looking to reseed your lawn, it’s alright to sow now, but keep in mind that it might take a bit longer to germinate. I'd recommend waiting until the bank holiday; nighttime temperatures ideally should be around 10 degrees for the best results. Plus, with the public holiday, there’s usually some rain to help!

It’s a bit of a gamble, but I’m going for it this weekend! True, we might see another frost before the end of May, but the forecast doesn’t seem too alarming. I’m planting them in pots just in case the temps drop, so I can bring them inside if needed.

I started my seeds in a plastic greenhouse back on March 16th. Just putting some fleece over them at night has worked like a charm. They'll be fine even with the cooler weather coming.
