I'm planning to install ceiling planks in my kitchen, which is 15 ft long at its widest point. The planks I'm using are 7 ft long. Should I cut the planks to create a staggered look, and if so, should the staggering be random or follow a specific pattern? Here's the link to the planks I'll be using: [THESE](https://www.menards.com/main/paint/ceilings/ceiling-tiles/armstrong-reg-ceilings-woodhaven-trade-5-x-84-beveled-ceiling-plank/1262/p-1444424286588-c-13612.htm).

Staggering is key! Usually, people recommend staggering by about 8-12 inches. It helps with the look and also minimizes waste. You might want to cut the planks so that the end piece from one row becomes the starter piece for the next. That way you’re using material efficiently and it won't look too planned out.
Definitely stagger the planks! You can go for a random pattern, which gives it a more natural look, or you could stick to a specific layout if you prefer something more uniform. Just keep in mind the overall aesthetic you're aiming for in your kitchen.
You could also leave the boards at 7' and add a perpendicular accent plank to fill in any gaps. It's called using a batten, and can add a nice touch to your design!
