Should I Stick with 12V Tools or Upgrade to a New Drill?

I'm looking for some advice on whether I should continue using my 12V tools or consider upgrading. I have a DCD700, but it's struggling with some tasks, and I want to keep my concrete drill in my workshop. I'm thinking about upgrading to the DCD706 or the DCD999, both of which are used options. The DCD706 looks better, but I'm concerned about the weight of the DCD999 due to its extra handle. Can the DCD999 compete with the DCD1007? I mainly work on cars, metal, and concrete, and I currently have both 12V and 20V batteries.

The DCD706 is definitely lighter and smaller than your DCD700, plus it packs more power but can only use 3/8-inch bits. If you’re looking for something more substantial, the DCD999 has a 1/2-inch chuck and is a beast of a drill. Think about what you'll be using it for. If it's mostly lighter, everyday tasks, you might prefer the DCD706. But if you need the serious torque for bigger projects, the DCD999 could be worth the extra weight.

I'm leaning towards smaller tasks too, like hanging stuff or assembling furniture. I get what you mean about needing a lighter drill for everyday use. I already have heavier drills for big jobs.
