Should I Still Go Plant Shopping Despite the Rain?

I'm planning to go plant shopping tomorrow, but we've had heavy rain the last couple of days, leaving the ground really soaked. I'm wondering if I should wait to buy the plants or if it's okay to proceed and just plant them on Sunday. I also want to redo a planter that's been outside.

I actually love shopping for plants in the rain! Greenhouses tend to be less crowded, so it's a nice time to browse. As for planting, just make sure the ground isn't too soggy when you're ready. Pots are typically fine to fill anytime since they have perlite, which helps with drainage and keeps the soil from getting too compacted.

That's a great tip! I also have a planter that has a mix of flowers, but I'm not happy with it. I'm thinking of redoing it soon too, just like you!
