Should I Tip the Delivery Driver for My Home Depot Order?

I'm expecting a delivery from Home Depot this week for siding and other materials for my remodeling project. The driver will be offloading everything from a flatbed using a forklift. Should I tip the delivery driver? Is it a common practice? Thanks in advance for the help!

Technically, you don't have to tip anyone for deliveries like this. But if you want to do something nice, a cold drink like water or Gatorade is always appreciated! It can go a long way, especially on a hot day.

You really don't need to tip. Delivery drivers are usually just responsible for dropping your stuff off curbside. However, if you're directing them to a specific spot for unpacking and they go above and beyond, a tip or a small gesture like a drink is a great way to show appreciation!

Most delivery drivers actually can’t accept tips, especially if they’re working directly for a company like Home Depot. But you can help them out by sending a positive note to their boss—those compliments can really help with their job reviews.
