I installed solar panels about a decade ago and took advantage of the old incentives during the Obama administration. I'm wondering if it's worth it to replace them with the latest models that are out now. Are there any real benefits to making the change? Would modern panels make a significant difference compared to what I already have?

I get where you’re coming from! I remind myself that my current system is essentially a money-making machine without any extra costs. Why upgrade for a minor boost? Maybe keeping the old ones while adding newer ones could be the way to go instead!
Your panels are most likely still kicking at near their rated capacity. Instead of replacing them, it might be smarter to add more panels if you need to increase your power generation. Only upgrade if you really have no space left and are willing to spend.
If your current panels are still performing well, it's probably not worth the investment. Consider that upgrading might cost you around $7,000 for just a 20% increase in production, which isn’t substantial when you factor in inflation. Stick with what you have unless there's a drastic drop in efficiency.
