Should I Upgrade to a Forge Battery for My Milwaukee Circular Saw?

I recently got a Milwaukee M18FCS66GR3-0 circular saw that's compatible with guide rails. So far, I've only been using it for basic wood cutting and haven't experienced any issues or slowdowns. However, I've heard from a few friends that upgrading to a forge battery would enhance the performance compared to my current 5Ah battery. Is this true? If I decide to go for a forge battery, should I get the 6Ah, 8Ah, or 12Ah version?

I don't own a Milwaukee saw, but I have an old Craftsman that works fine after 25 years without any fancy batteries! So, I don't think the problem is just the battery.

Generally speaking, having a bigger battery can improve performance. But keep in mind, those 12Ah batteries can be quite heavy! It might also be worth checking your cutting technique and blade quality; smooth cuts can prevent jamming. Personally, I've used 5Ah batteries without problems while cutting plywood and 2x materials. So it really depends on your needs.
