I recently picked up a Dewalt Grabo during a sale, but I only have Milwaukee batteries available. I'm torn between trying out a battery adapter or buying a new battery and charger for the Grabo. Can someone shed some light on how these tools work? Another concern is the power connection—if it happens to cut out, will the item just drop?

I got a couple of grabos for a steal and tested one on some heavy materials without any suction problems. Just make sure to keep the pump running to maintain the seal. It's worked great for me!
It's really worth considering whether you want to take a risk with the adapter. Think about the potential mess if it fails at the wrong moment. If you can swing it, getting the right battery might be the safer bet long-term.
Adapters can work well, especially for running tools. I’ve used them without issues, but definitely check reviews first. If you’re worried about performance, maybe watch some tests to see how they compare. I saw a good review of an adapter that looked promising on Etsy.
