I'm trying to cut some bolts off of my old rusted vehicle. Initially, I was leaning towards using an angle grinder, but now I'm curious about die grinders because of their versatility. What do you think is the best tool for this job?

Angle grinders are way more versatile overall.
Definitely an angle grinder!
It really depends on the space you have to work with. If you're in tight spots, the M12 die grinders come in both right angle and straight options that can fit where a full-sized angle grinder won't. Another option is the M12 cutoff tool, which is like a mini angle grinder specifically for cutting bolts.
If you can fit an angle grinder in the working area, that’s what I’d go for. I only use the die grinder when I'm really tight on space, but keep in mind it cuts much slower.
If you’re comfortable using an angle grinder, it's the best tool for the job since it's versatile for other tasks too. But I personally prefer the M12 cutoff tool. It feels a lot safer, especially for those new to handling angle grinders, and it's perfect for cutting bolts.
