Should I Use the Load Outputs on My Renogy 20A Charge Controller?

I'm trying to figure out if I should be utilizing the "Load" outputs on my Renogy 20A Charge Controller. Right now, I'm set up with two 12V 100Ah lead-acid batteries and a 300W inverter for small electronics as well as a 12V water pump that draws up to 18A. Should I connect my devices directly to the batteries instead of the controller's load outputs?

The load terminals on MPPT/PWM controllers are typically meant for lower drain devices that you might want to manage based on the battery's level, like lights. For most other devices, you’d usually connect them directly to the battery, possibly with a fuse for safety. It keeps everything efficient!

Is it alright to just leave the load outputs on the controller unused?

What's your take on MPPT controllers that claim 100A output at their load terminals? Is that legit?
