I'm looking to purchase an M18 fuel drill and a battery case combo, along with an impact driver and possibly a grinder for my dad. I've noticed some items are on sale this month, but I'm curious if waiting for Labor Day sales would be a better option. Are the flash sales at Home Depot typically better than the holiday sales?

Honestly, it varies. Sometimes the holiday sales are good, but I've noticed some pretty solid deals on just about any day of the week. Black Friday is usually when you can find more 'hackable' deals, especially for tools like the ones you're after.
I've actually found that the daily deals or those special promotions often beat the holiday sales. Plus, Home Depot has a 90-day return policy, so if you snag a good deal now and see it drop later, you can return it for a better price! That's what I'd recommend.
I don't think the Labor Day sales will be any better than what we've seen in previous holidays. Deals during Memorial Day and Father's Day were pretty underwhelming. It seems like Home Depot just runs similar promotions on a loop.
