I'm dealing with a frustrating issue in my apartment where my shower water temperature fluctuates every 15 seconds, and the water pressure drops after about 10 minutes of use. However, my sink faucet works perfectly fine with strong pressure and stable temperature. I'm hoping to get some advice on a couple of things: 1. How can I potentially fix the temperature and pressure issue with the shower? 2. Is it possible to attach a showerhead to the bathroom sink faucet instead, and could that attachment have a switch to use it like a normal faucet?

Consider installing a thermostatic mixing valve if your shower setup allows for it. If it’s faulty or missing, that might explain why you’re getting cold bursts and fluctuating pressure. If your faucet is just a basic setup without advanced features, focusing on possible leaks or blockages in your pipes could help too.
I had a similar unbalanced hot & cold plumbing issue. You might need to check the overall pipe work just in case!
You might want to check if your shower head has a water pressure regulator. If it does, removing it could be a good first step to improve both the temperature stability and pressure. Sometimes those regulators can cause inconsistent flows.
Just a heads up, I checked mine and it didn’t have one either, so make sure to look for other issues.

Thanks for the tip! I think I’ll look into that it seems like a good direction.
