Still Dealing with a Shower Leak After Cartridge Replacement—Any Other Tips Before I Open Up the Wall?

I've recently replaced the cartridges in my shower, but I'm still noticing a leak. Is it time to replace the valve body as well? Before I resort to tearing into my drywall, are there any other steps or checks I can do to resolve this issue?

Don't forget to use plumber's grease when you're putting everything back together! Also, make sure to replace those rubber washers while you're at it. It could make a big difference.

Great advice! I really wish I’d checked this forum before hitting up the hardware store.

Have you checked the cartridge seat? It's an easy thing to overlook and could be part of the issue. Fixing that might save you from a bigger mess!

I had no idea the seat was a thing. I’ve only dealt with the cartridges themselves before!

At this point, it might be a good idea to go for the ultimate fix! Just make sure you've checked all the basics before you start knocking down walls.
