I've been dealing with a puzzling issue in my living room for about a year now. There's a small puddle that forms right where the floor and wall meet, and it's not typical water. The liquid has an oily, odorless quality—that's the real mystery! It appears randomly, maybe twice in the last month and around six times in the past year, always in the same spot. I don't have a basement, I haven't noticed any drips from the ceiling, and there's nothing like a fish tank nearby. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Have you considered whether there's a duct in the wall that's sweating due to high humidity or heat? If you have an AC unit nearby, it might be worth looking into. The roof above does have a stack, but I’m unsure if it's a vent or plumbing.
Could it be honey leaking from bees in the wall? That sounds wild, but it's a thought! Just double-check to see if you hear any buzzing or anything. If you're brave enough, you could even taste a tiny bit to find out! But seriously, have you investigated that possibility?
I checked the attic and listened closely, but no buzzing sounds. And I'm definitely not tasting it!
It sounds like your AC could be the culprit if it’s near that area. Sometimes they can leak or sweat if it's super humid out. Just keep an eye out, especially when you're running the AC a lot in the summer!

Yes, the AC is actually less than six feet from where the puddle forms. That could be a clue!
