Hey everyone! I bought a Milwaukee Fuel drill and impact driver set last October, thinking it would be perfect for future jobs like home improvement. Now that I'm trying to install lamps on my ceiling, I realize I need to drill into what seems like concrete block. Unfortunately, my drill isn't performing well; I'm having a tough time drilling to the required depth for each hole, and the drill bit keeps coming loose despite me using the fastening trick. I usually use Bosch tips, but they're not lasting long. I'm starting to wonder if my drill is defective or if this tool just isn't meant for this kind of job. Also, could the concrete here in Switzerland be different from what people typically drill in the US? Any insights or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to consider getting an SDS drill with hammer mode. I own an M12, and it breezes through concrete in a way my 18V drill just couldn't.
Great suggestion! I’ll keep that in mind for my next move or tougher jobs. It’s just frustrating that I spent a good amount on this drill, expecting it to handle the smaller concrete jobs. At this rate, I’m using 1-2 tips per hole, which is getting expensive!
