Hey everyone! I recently upgraded from a cheap bargain planer to a more expensive Dewalt DW733, but I'm having major feed issues. I was trying to plane down some pallet boards from 2CM to 5mm thick, and while my old planner handled it like a champ, this new one keeps getting stuck. I've been waxing and cleaning it constantly and still end up having to reset the depth. It starts pulling boards through fine but then just stops, sometimes on one side and then the other. I've cleaned the rollers and applied lubricant, but the problem keeps returning. Is this normal for this model? Should I consider returning it and looking at a different model, like the Metabo DH330? Any insights would be super helpful!

Going from 20mm to 5mm on multiple boards is a big job! I wonder if it would save you some hassle to just cut them down a bit on a bandsaw or table saw first? It could be easier than using the planer for such a drastic reduction.
It sounds like you might have a parallel issue with your planer. If one side is higher than the other, it could cause uneven feeding. I’d recommend checking your manual or this [link](https://support.dewalt.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/360012427158) for some troubleshooting tips from Dewalt. It could help solve the issue!
Thanks for the tip! I checked it out and it seems like the cutting head is parallel, but the front roller might be a tad lower on the left. I'll keep looking into it!

Good point! I didn’t think about that. I don’t have a bandsaw at the moment, but next time I might consider it. Thanks for the suggestion!
