Struggling with Hair Loss at 22: Shave It or Try Products?

Hey everyone! I'm 22 and have been losing my hair since middle school. It started off slowly but has really accelerated in the last couple of years. It's taken a toll on my self-confidence, especially since I started balding before even finishing high school. I know many guys go through this, but I'm at a point where I'm torn between just shaving it all off or trying out some products, like those from Keeps. Has anyone here tried any hair loss treatments? Are they worth it?

If you're considering products, I’d suggest looking into minoxidil or finasteride, but do your research! I’ve been on finasteride for a few years, and it's helped prevent further loss for me without major side effects. Just be aware of what you're getting into!

Yeah, definitely important to know the risks - some guys report issues with libido.

What kind of side effects did you experience, if any?

I started balding early too, around your age, and honestly, embrace it! I just shaved my head and let my beard grow. It sounds cliché, but confidence really plays a huge role. Some women actually dig the bald look!

Right? It's all about how you carry yourself. A good beard can change everything!

Exactly! Props for owning it. Shaving was the best decision for my self-esteem.

Honestly, I think shaving is the way to go. I started losing my hair in high school, and I tried various products for a while, but ended up shaving it off completely. It took some getting used to, but I felt so much more confident after that! Plus, no more bad hair days. Just try a buzz cut first if you want to test the waters. It's freeing!

Totally agree! Once I committed to shaving, it felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. It's just hair at the end of the day!

It's true! The first time I shaved, I was nervous, but now I can't imagine having hair again.
