I'm located near Milwaukee, WI, and have a 2-acre property. Initially, my garden was thriving, but things have taken a turn for the worse. My neighbors are feeding turkeys and deer (and other pests) bagels, which is causing havoc in my yard. My butterfly garden is now overrun with creeping charlie that these pests are dragging in. I've tried planting various flowers like poppies, forsythia, weigela, and burberry, but they keep getting eaten. Currently, I'm left with peonies, lilacs, hydrangeas, lavender, sage, and irises. I'm looking for advice on whether I should just stick to ground cover and the few plants I have left or if there are other solutions to help my gardens flourish again.

One thing you could do is try to block off your property with some hedges if possible. This might help keep the pests at bay. I feel your pain with the creeping charlie; it's a tough weed to manage! I've been battling it for years myself, haha. But giving some barriers a shot could be worth it!

Blocking the area off can be tricky with larger properties. From what I've seen, some neighbors have had luck with electric fences. It seems to be the only solution for keeping those pests away!
