Suggestions for Flooring in Our Back Room?

We're planning to replace the floor in our back room after ripping it up to fix some issues in a crawl space. Currently, the room has a mix of half carpet and tile, and we're torn about whether to keep it that way or switch to something more cohesive. We have LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring in our kitchen and are considering matching that throughout the back room. Any advice on what flooring we should go for?

I'd totally recommend going with LVP! It sounds like the carpet and tile combination is outdated and might not suit your needs. Since your kitchen already has LVP, keeping the flooring consistent will really pull the space together and make it feel larger. Plus, one type of flooring allows for easier rearranging of your furniture without worrying about mixing different styles.

Honestly, I’m all for ditching the old carpet. It can hold onto stains and odors which isn't great! If you go with LVP for the entire back room, you'll not only match your kitchen but also give yourself more flexibility with the layout. You can always add an area rug in the seating area for extra cozy vibes.
