Suggestions for Year-Round, Low-Water Plants in Zone 9

I'm looking for some plant suggestions that look great throughout the year but don't require a lot of watering. I live in zone 9 and have had begonias for over ten years on both sides of my front yard. They've always looked nice, but they need so much water, and I'm ready for a change. What can I plant that looks good, doesn't need much water, and ideally requires minimal trimming?

You might want to consider black-eyed Susans or poppies. They are pretty drought-resistant and look lovely in bloom!

If you're after something that has that low-maintenance vibe, succulents are definitely a good choice. They can handle the heat well, so they'll thrive in your sunny front yard!

That sounds promising! But do you have any specific types of succulents in mind for that hot sun?

Rock purslane succulents are an excellent option too. They're super low maintenance and have stunning purple flowers that pop! Definitely worth checking out!
