My sump pump is running almost every 2 minutes, and while the float seems to be functioning properly, I'm noticing that after it discharges water, a significant amount comes right back almost immediately. I have a video showing the water line going down and then rising again right after the pump stops. Also, in one of my photos, I suspect the white piece is the check valve. I'm looking for advice on this issue and any product recommendations for a potential replacement—especially something available at Home Depot or Lowe's.

It sounds like you definitely need a check valve to prevent the discharged water from flowing back into the sump pit. If your pump is working that frequently, there's a risk of it burning out, especially during heavy usage. I’d also suggest getting a backup pump just to be safe, so you're prepared if something goes wrong. For brand recommendations, I’d go with one of the major brands—look for something at Home Depot or Lowe's that matches your existing setup.

Sounds good! I think I’ll start looking for a check valve then. Just to be sure, how do I check what size pipe I have?
