Switching from Milwaukee to Dewalt – What Should I Consider?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about making the switch from Milwaukee to Dewalt tools, mainly because my dad has always used Dewalt. I'm curious about which impact drivers offer the best value—I've been eyeing the DCF845. Are there any tools I should steer clear of? I've heard some buzz about issues with the nailers, so I'm looking for your insights.

If you're looking for something compact, avoid the Atomic line drills. For impact drivers, I suggest the DCF840; it’s got similar performance to the DCF845 but is usually cheaper. Definitely avoid the DCF787 and DCF809 if you can. They just don't hold up well for serious work—trust me on this one!

What exactly is wrong with the 809? I've heard mixed reviews.

Also, if you're buying Dewalt bits, skip the Maxfit ones. Go for the Flextork line instead; they're way better and a great value!
