I'm in the market for a track saw and I've heard mixed reviews about Dewalt, particularly regarding some issues it's supposed to have. I'm keen to hear from anyone who's used it or compared it to other brands. What are your overall thoughts on Dewalt's track saw and how does it stack up against competitors?

For my daily use, I actually prefer the Makita 40-volt track saw. In my opinion, the best rail system and saw out there is the Mafell because it gives the cleanest cuts. If you're looking for precision, that's the way to go.
Yeah, I've noticed a lot of track saws like Festool and Makita tend to have more third-party options for accessories. Dewalt went a different route, so it's trickier to find compatible add-ons. If you're focused on ease of use and options, you might want to consider that.
I'm really happy with my 60v track saw, though I've experienced some issues with the Dewalt tracks. I mostly use the Festool tracks instead. They just fit better and perform well.
I get frustrated with those YouTube influencers who critique tools after minimal use. I've had my Flexvolt track saw for years and it works great for me. Just be aware that the depth adjustment knob can be a bit stubborn. And if you’re working with materials like Trex, it can clog up without a vacuum. But I really only need clamps for my work, which are not hard to find.
I've been using my Dewalt track saw every day for my contracting work, and honestly, I've had no issues with it. The key is to make sure you're using the right blade for whatever material you're cutting, just like with any track saw. That's what makes a real difference.
