Thinking About Adding a Mounted Urinal at Home—Is It Worth It?

I'm planning some renovations in my house and I'm considering installing a mounted urinal. I know it can be a bit unconventional, but I'm curious to hear if anyone has experience with it. I have two boys and two girls if that adds context. What do you think?

Honestly, it seems like a hassle. Most people say they splash and leave puddles, plus without a lid, it can get super messy. Why not save the space for something more practical like a storage cabinet or a second sink?

Totally agree! A urinal might not fit the bill unless you have loads of space. Modern toilets are pretty efficient anyway!

If you're set on doing it, opt for a full-length urinal that goes to the floor. Smaller wall-mounted ones tend to splash a lot and can create a mess. Trust me, a clean floor is a happy floor!

Absolutely! Full-length urinals can be way more practical. Here’s a fun throwback: check out the oldest urinals in Chicago!

If you go ahead with it, just know that it might scare off potential buyers later on, especially if it’s in a main bathroom. It could work in places like a garage or a man cave, though!

Yeah, I’ve seen a few home urinals, and honestly, they were off-putting unless it was in a super casual space like a garage.
