I'm considering purchasing a house that has a noticeable marijuana smell. I'm planning to paint and do some deep cleaning, but I'm wondering if that'll be enough to eliminate the odor. I'm also curious about third-hand smoke with marijuana, especially since I have two kids, one of whom is a newborn. Their health and safety are my top priorities. Can this smell issue really be fixed?

If you're really concerned, consider renting a large ozone machine for a while—it works wonders! Just make sure to do this before moving in, then let the house air out afterward.

When we moved into our house, the garage had a strong weed smell—probably from an old grow room. Thankfully, the smell faded over time without much effort. But, smoke might be trickier to deal with, I'm not entirely sure.
