Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and I've been making furniture like big tables and such. I'm considering getting a track saw since I have a regular one but it's not a power saw. Can anyone share their experiences or suggestions about track saws?

I traded in my regular saw for a track saw and honestly wish I had made the switch sooner. It’s fantastic for breaking down sheet goods, but where it really shines is jointing up panels. I ended up getting a Kreg track saw, which I know some say is underpowered, but it cuts right through hardwoods without any issues. Just finished a project with a 12/4 white oak mantel and it did great!
Definitely go for a track saw if you want clean, straight cuts! It’s especially great for sheet goods. For a good balance between quality and price, I recommend Makita. If you want something that offers top-notch precision, Festool is the way to go!
I’ve been using a Milwaukee track saw for a while, and I can't believe the difference it's made! I used to think I was just an average carpenter, but this saw has really upped my game. I can tackle projects that I never thought I could do before—it's been a game changer!
