Has anyone recently installed mini split systems? I'd love to hear what your quotes were and how many zones you went for. I'm currently being quoted $18,500 for 2 zones and $35,800 for 5 zones, which seems outrageous. I'm located in Ohio, and the company I'm considering is backed by a private equity firm, so I'm curious about your experiences!

I got quotes a couple of months back for installing a single-zone mini split unit in my detached garage, and they were around $2000 and $2200. I’m in Michigan, so prices may vary a bit depending on location. Just make sure to get multiple quotes before deciding!
What do you mean by 'customer-provided unit'? Like you buy the mini split yourself and they just install it?
