I'm in the market for a new washer and dryer since my old Samsung is on its last legs and sounds like a jet taking off during the spin cycle. I'm considering going for a ventless dryer with heat pump technology. Has anyone made the switch? I'd love to hear if you're happy with it or if you regret it. Also, I'm curious about the combo washer/dryer setups. Any experiences?

I once put a heat pump dryer in a rental, and the tenants despised it. It took forever to dry their clothes, and it eventually broke down without warranty because there was no water filter. We ended up throwing it out and getting them a regular washer and dryer instead. Not worth the hassle!
I just got an LG WashCombo with ventless heat pump last month, and it's been awesome! I've done about 20 loads with it now, and it dries as well as my old gas dryer. Plus, I love not having to worry about leaving wet clothes in the washer and ending up with that musty smell. It takes about 3 hours for a full load, which is similar to my old setup, but I'm also enjoying the space I saved - I even fit in an upright freezer!
Just a heads up, keep an eye on the fins past the filter. I’ve had to clean mine monthly to avoid clogging. It takes just a few minutes!

I've been using a stacked LG wash tower with a ventless dryer for about two years now, and I've had a great experience with it—no complaints at all!
I'm using Samsung's bespoke AI washer and dryer combo, and I have no regrets at all. I kept my old dryer just in case, but I hardly even need it anymore. Just make sure they install the pedestal; you won't want to lift 400 lbs every time you do laundry!
I don't have a heat pump dryer yet, but when I do switch, it's definitely going to be to a heat pump. They use less energy, and all they need is a regular 120v plug. Plus, they don’t ruin clothes like traditional dryers can. People think they don’t dry well, but honestly, the clothes come out just fine—a little shake, and they feel even drier!
What kind of machines were you using before that took 3 hours for a load?
