Hey everyone! I've been considering upgrading my power tools and I'm on the fence about the DeWalt DCF860 impact driver. I recently saw quite a few of them for sale online, some even as low as $80, and I just want to get a sense of how people feel about it. I currently have the DCF887 which I've been using for about 8 years after I got it from a pawnshop. So, what do you all think? Is the 860 worth it? Any feedback would be appreciated!

Just a heads up, I've seen the DCF860 at Lowe's for under $90 lately, so I'd be a bit cautious about buying it used at that price. Power-wise, it’s one of the best out there! Just curious, what kind of projects are you planning to tackle?
I picked up my DCF860 with a powerpack for around $200 just a few weeks ago and it's been great! Honestly, I mainly got it for the battery, but I'm happy with the performance so far.
That sounds about right. You basically bought a battery and got the tool for free! Just hope it doesn’t disappear on the job!
I absolutely love my DCF860! I know it was included in some battery bundle deals recently, so I've heard that lots of folks bought it just for the batteries and decided to sell the tool. Also, I've seen some people blame the tool for issues that were actually due to using the wrong setting. But hey, if you adjust it properly, it really shines!
Right? It's too much tool for some people! ?
Exactly, I hardly ever use level 3 myself.

I've got a variety of projects at home, and sometimes I help the crews on site. I’m a crane operator, and having a reliable tool for building forms is a must.
