Thoughts on the M12 Oscillating Tool? Worth It or Not?

I'm considering getting the M12 oscillating tool as part of a free tools promotion. Is it actually a good tool to have? And should I opt for the 12v 2.5 high output battery instead? How does it stack up against the M18 version? Just a heads-up, I'm about to get the M12 impact tool, and this will be my first experience with M12 products.

Be aware that the one included is the older brushed model, and it vibrates a lot—like, enough to make your hands numb after a short use. The Fuel version is way better. If you also want the blower or ratchet, those would serve you well too, though you could always return the ratchet for a partial refund, which makes the tool combo pretty affordable.

Honestly, if you need it, it’s well worth paying full price. It’s just as capable as the M18 but way more compact. Plus, the high-output batteries are definitely a plus!

For sure! I’ve heard great things about it too, especially the portability factor.

Just remember, the one you’re getting for free isn’t the Fuel version, so just keep that in mind!

If we're talking about the Fuel model, it’s really nice. It’s not quite as powerful as the M18, but honestly, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more robust multi-tool. Just a heads-up, if you’re not already in the M12 system, the smaller batteries don't last long at all—might regret it a bit!

Gotcha! If you had both batteries, which one would you go for if you could only buy one tool?
