Hey everyone! I'm curious about your experiences with the DCPW550B cordless power cleaner when it comes to washing cars. I just got one and I'm looking into a few specifics:
1. How's the foam cannon that comes with it?
2. The directions suggest not using any nozzle more focused than the 40° one, but that seems pretty limiting, right?
3. Does anyone know if the stubby nozzle attachment fits standard kinds?
4. I've heard mixed things about the quick connect filter adapter—some say it's flimsy. It seems more like an extension than a regular quick connect, and I'm concerned that if I switch to a brass one, it might break something inside the machine. What do you think?
I understand some might think the power is too low, especially since I won't always have access to a hose. But I'm primarily focused on washing my car in a city where space is tight.

I’ve been using a brass quick connect for almost two years without issues. As for the DCPW550B itself, it's not my favorite for washing cars; I prefer doing it by hand with my regular foam cannon. The pressure feels decent, but it really lacks in GPM (gallons per minute). I’m curious to check out the specs on that new 60V model, though.
Honestly, I don’t think you need a brass adapter on the pickup hose unless you're using it with a garden hose. The plastic tends to leak, but if you're just dragging around the weight of the cleaner, it should be okay! As for nozzles, ignore that 40° suggestion—I'd recommend using a more aggressive nozzle like the 15° or 25° ones if your paint is in good shape; you won't damage it with 550 PSI!
That’s really helpful! Good to know about the nozzles—makes me feel better about experimenting a bit!
If you can, try the DCPW1000B instead. It's the 60V version and has much better power for washing a car! Just a heads-up, though—switching to 60V means you'll need all new tools, which can get pricey pretty quick!
Yeah, I feel you! The cost for all new tools just adds up so fast!

Are you using the brass connector instead of the clear filter? Mine has a different setup to help with leaks, and it definitely makes a difference!
