Hey everyone! I'm diving into building my Milwaukee Packout setup, starting with the rolling toolbox as the base. I'm looking for suggestions on what to stack on top. I've heard a lot of buzz about the drawer units being way more practical than the medium toolbox. I'm totally fine with using foam inserts or 3D-printed organizers for keeping everything tidy. Here's the gear I need to fit in:
- 2834-20 Circular Saw (7-1/4")
- 2904-22 Hammer Drill
- 2821-20 Sawzall
- 2953-20 Impact Driver
- Various blades, batteries, charger, etc.
I'd love to see how others have set up their Packout too!

I’m set up with 2 stacks of the drawer units and 2 dollies. I keep my M18 Fuel cord saw in a Milwaukee bag and it all works well for me! Keep in mind, if you’re getting the rolling box, you might need to dismantle the stack to get access, which can be a little annoying, but it’s versatile in other ways.
I’ve got a rolling box, a 3-drawer unit, the larger toolbox, an ammo can, and some organizers. I even got a drop-in tray that fits in the rolling box for batteries. Everything you mentioned should fit in the rolling box fine.
I really like the drawer for my M12 tools; it keeps everything organized. I just grab it and I'm good to go without having to sort through my tools every time. But I’d recommend waiting for sales like BMSM; I got around 40% off back then! Just keep in mind the pricing of the drawer has been kind of crazy lately due to delays and tariffs.
I’ve heard that the new rolling drawer setup is definitely the way to go instead of the old toolbox. It seems like it might be smaller based on the specs, but everyone is raving about it!
Yeah, I tried finding that drawer and it’s almost impossible to get right now! It’s a shame if it’s smaller because it sounds like a great idea.
