I just moved into a small apartment with a big window and a patio on the far side. I'm looking for some advice on which houseplants would thrive in my space and what factors I should consider when selecting them. Just a head's up, I'm in Montreal, so I can't keep plants outside all year round!

It’s important to know how much light your window gets. What direction is it facing? A south-facing window typically gets a good amount of sunlight throughout the day, which is great for many plants!
