I'm trying to install some screws into thin plywood, but I want to countersink them for a cleaner finish. The issue is that most countersink bits seem to be designed for standard screws, not the specific wafer-head screws I prefer for maximum hold. Does anyone have advice on how to achieve a proper countersink for these types of screws?

You can use a Forstner bit that's just a bit larger than the head of the wafer screw. Drill down just enough so the head sits below the surface of the wood. I've had success with GRK screws using a 5/8" Forstner bit, which worked perfectly for a smooth finish.
Just out of curiosity, why are you looking to countersink them in the first place?
