Tips for Edging Driveways and Sidewalks Without Back Pain

I recently started a job that requires me to edge driveways and sidewalks for several hours each day using a stick edger. However, I'm finding that my back gets really sore after a long day of work. I'm looking for techniques, advice, or tools that can help me edge more efficiently without hurting my back so much. It feels like I'm missing something crucial here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

A back brace might really help support your back while you work. Also, consider getting a shoulder strap for your edger—those are great for weight distribution. Make sure to switch hands every five minutes to use different muscles, and try not to edge for more than an hour straight. Take breaks or rotate tasks. If it's too much, maybe see if someone can help out!

That’s a good point! But isn’t that kind of a lot to ask when you’re the one doing the job?
