Tips for Fixing a Stuck Sliding Patio Door

I've got an Anderson sliding patio door that's over 20 years old, and it's become really tough to open and close. I've already cleaned and greased the track, but it still feels extremely heavy and requires a lot of strength to move. The door isn't off the track, and aside from the heaviness, it's actually in good shape. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this without having to replace the door?

You might want to check if the wheels are adjusted correctly. Sometimes, the wheels can wear out over time and may need replacing. It's worth taking a look before considering a new door.

Also, just a heads up—if you decide to adjust the wheels, avoid using a drill. A screwdriver is safer since a drill can make the adjustment nut come loose, and then you'd have to take the whole panel off to get a new roller!
