I've been trying to grow tomatoes and peppers in terracotta pots and grow bags for a couple of years now so they can get full sun, but I'm struggling to make them produce well. They don't seem to grow much and hardly yield any fruit. What can I do to cultivate healthier, bigger, and bushier plants in containers?

I've had success with rooftop gardening using 13-gallon grow bags. I recommend using a mix like pro mix combined with Espoma Tomato Tone once a month and Miracle-Gro for tomatoes every couple of weeks. Keeping up with watering, especially in late summer, is key to growing those big plants!
Make sure your pots are filled to the top with good soil and check how many plants you have in each pot. It's also important to water regularly—especially in hot weather. Lastly, consider what you're using for soil and if you're adding fertilizer because that can really boost growth!
Thanks for the tips! I usually just use regular potting soil, but I might need to try something more specialized for veggies.
First off, check if your pots are big enough! Terracotta pots can be tricky because they don't retain moisture well. I switched to using large plastic pots that hold around 20 gallons for my tomatoes, and it made a world of difference. Also, try using 10-gallon grow bags for peppers; they really flourish in that size!

Great advice! I think maintaining that watering schedule is super critical, especially in containers.
