Hey everyone! I'm looking to grow some lavender in my garden here in Western North Carolina, which I think falls under zone 6b. I would love any advice, tricks, or even book recommendations for successfully growing lavender in this area. I know I need to mix soil with sand, but any additional insights would be greatly appreciated!

Are you close to any lakes? That might affect soil drainage. I live near Wilmington, and I’ve got clay mostly. If you have sandy soil, that’s great! Mixing it properly should help your lavender flourish. Just keep an eye on how much water it gets. Enjoy your gardening!
