I'm working on organizing two small drywalled closets, and I'm going with pilasters that use shelf clips for support. I've bought the clips and pilasters, but I'm struggling to get the clips to flex enough to attach to the pilasters. Is there a specific tool or technique I should be using to insert and remove these clips? I've tried a few methods, but nothing seems to work. Any advice?

If you have the right clips that match your metal strip, it shouldn't be too difficult to install them. When I did my pantry shelves, I just inserted the top tab of the clip into the slot first, then I used a small piece of scrap wood to push the bottom up until it clicked into place. It worked perfectly for me!
Thanks for the tip! I think you're right. After checking some videos and realizing I got my clips from Lowes with no specifications, I’m heading back to return them. They had only one size, which made it hard to know if they were the right fit. I'll check out ACE or other places. Shipping to Hawaii from Rockler was way too expensive for a few parts!
