Hey everyone! I'm having a bit of a struggle since adopting my cat. She seems really keen on munching on my monstera, but I can't relocate my plants due to space constraints. I'd love to hear any tips or tricks you all have for preventing cats from snacking on houseplants!

I had a similar issue with my kitten. I used mesh netting over my plant shelf, and it really worked! She lost interest once she realized she couldn’t get to the plants. I monitored her while she was around it, too, just to be safe. Just make sure anything you try isn't a hazard for them!

That sounds like a great solution! Did it look okay, or was it just a temporary fix? I want to avoid clutter if possible.

One solid tip is to get your cat a tray of cat grass. Cats often need to chew on green plants to help with hairballs, so if you provide them their own option, they may leave your monsteras alone!

If you can utilize some wall space, hang sturdy shelves near your windows. For the plants you can't move, consider placing screen material over the soil to stop your cat from digging. It’s an effective barrier!
