Tips for Making a Cretlicaster Inspired by YouTube

I'm interested in building a Cretlicaster, like the one featured in this YouTube video (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zPKxNTt-8A4). I found a basic guide using an Arduino, but the setup in the video seems a bit complicated for just that. Can anyone share insights or tips on how to approach building one?

The Arduino isn't really doing much here. Just follow the guide step by step, it’s simpler than it looks. Just be aware that there might be some hurdles with getting video output, plus some additional components not outlined in the guide may be necessary.

True, the video output can be tricky with the Arduino alone, so it's good to look out for those extra bits you might need!

To get started, connect the audio output from your guitar directly to the video input of your TV. That’s basically the key step! However, the setup might also include a sync generator circuit to ensure the TV displays properly, as the video might not cover that.
