Tips for Maximizing a Small Closet with an Attic Hatch

I'm looking for some advice on how to make a small closet in my daughter's room more functional. It has an attic hatch that provides access to the AC system, so I can't block it. The previous owners put in some ledges with removable wooden boards for shelves, but I'm not sure if that's the best way to utilize the space. The closet dimensions are approximately 99 inches high, 40 inches wide, and 28 inches deep. Any creative solutions or tips would be appreciated, or should I just leave it as is?

You could consider adding drop or tiered hangers on the door or walls for more clothes storage without blocking the hatch. For the walls, maybe a bolt organizer style shelving could hold accessories or shoes. Also, utilizing the ceiling space with hanging organizers for seasonal items like jackets could really maximize functionality! It might not be as big as a wardrobe, but it could work well given your space constraints.

There's no stairs, just a hatch that's about 24 inches square.
