Tips for Reducing Musty Smells in a Garage Laundry Room

I turned part of my one-car garage into a laundry room. I walled off half of the garage to create a proper enclosed space, but now it gets really musty when I do laundry because there's no window or proper airflow. What are some effective ways to eliminate that musty smell without installing a window?

It sounds like you definitely need better ventilation! Since you can't add a window, I recommend installing an exhaust fan. It will help circulate the air and get rid of that musty odor. Just make sure your dryer is vented outside too; that really helps!

A through-the-wall exhaust fan could be your best bet here. It’s usually a straightforward and cost-effective solution. It’ll help to pull out the stale air and bring in some fresh air, which should solve that musty problem pretty quickly!
